Ingredients: Yellow Corn Flour, Enriched Wheat Flour (Flour, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Salt, Yellow Corn Meal, Spices (Including Black Pepper, Celery Seed), Rice Flour, Garlic and Whey (Milk).
Directions: Cooking tips: For a thicker coating, dip fish in a mixture of 3 Tbsp. milk and 2 beaten eggs before coating with Fry Mix. Fry several pieces of fish at a time to help maintain oil at its best frying temperature. Thicker fish fillets need longer cooking time than thin fillets. Flavorful tip: For extra flavor, stir 1 tsp. old bay Seasoning into 1/2 cup fry mix. All you need: 1/2 cup fry mix. 1 lb. fish fillets. Water of milk. Vegetable oil. 1. Pour: Fry Mix into shallow dish or large plastic bag. Moisten fish, cut into serving-size pieces, with water or milk. Shake off excess. 2. Coat: Fish, several pieces at a time, evenly with Fry Mix. Let stand 5 minutes. Discard any remaining Fry Mix. Fry as directed below. Deep-fry: Pour oil into deep-fryer, large heavy skillet or saucepan, filling no more than 1/3 full. Heat to 375° degrees F on medium heat. Carefully add fish, several pieces at a time, to hot oil. Fry 3 to 5 minutes, turning once to brown evenly, until fish is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork. Drain on paper towels. Oven-Fry: Cover bottom of shallow baking pan with melted butter. Arrange fish in single layer in pan; turn to coat with butter. Bake in preheated 425° degrees F oven 10 to 20 minutes or until fish is golden brown around edges and flakes easily with a fork. Entire package coats 4 to 6 lbs. fish. Best with catfish, tilapia, flounder, or trout. Serve with McCormick® cocktail sauce or tartar sauce.
