Wassail (Hot Spiced Cider)

  • Wassail (Hot Spiced Cider)
  • Ingredients
    • 8 cups apple cider
    • 2 cups Florida’s Natural Orange Juice
    • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
    • 4 cinnamon sticks, plus extra for garnish (optional)
    • 12 whole cloves
    • ¼ tsp. ground ginger
    • ¼ tsp. ground nutmeg

    Directions
    1. Combine all ingredients in a large soup pot and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. 1. Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish cups with a cinnamon stick, if desired.

    Variations

    Make it a cocktail: Substitute hard cider for apple cider. Simmer all ingredients except for hard cider for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in 8 cups of hard cider and heat until warm. Serve.
