Apple Pecan Crisp

This recipe pairs tart Granny Smiths with crunchy pecans, hearty oats and a hint of sweetness. Apple Pecan Crisp will surely satisfy even the heartiest of appetites!

  • Ingredients
    • Cooking spray
    • 3 Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced
    • 2 Tbsp. all purpose flour
    • 1 Tbsp. + 2 tsp. ground cinnamon, divided
    • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
    • 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
    • ¾ cup old fashioned oats
    • ½ cup pecans, chopped
    • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
    • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
    • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar

    Directions
    1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat round pie pan with cooking spray. 1. Combine the apple slices, flour, 1 Tbsp. cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar in a bowl. Place in pie dish. 1. Combine oats, pecans, vanilla extract, melted butter and brown sugar in the bowl. Top apple mixture with oat/pecan mixture. 1. Bake for 20 minutes, or until apples are soft and topping is crispy.
