In collaboration with 11 vendor partners, Festival Foods invites veterans to enjoy a special tribute this Veterans Day. On Tuesday, Nov. 11, veterans visiting any Festival Foods store in Wisconsin can receive 16 free products with a minimum $20 purchase, while supplies last.

Now in its eighth year, this Veterans Day tradition continues to grow, offering a variety of complimentary items such as coffee, pizza and drinks to show appreciation to those who have served.

Since 2018, Travis Tiedt, a member of the Festival Foods team, has been leading the effort to honor veterans with the help of vendor partners.

“We knew many of our vendor partners shared our commitment to supporting their communities, especially veterans,” Tiedt said. “We approached Brew Pub, a local pizza vendor, to participate in a Veterans Day promotion. They agreed, and before long, we had nine free products available to veterans in 2018.”

Tiedt’s goal was to provide veterans with more than a meal. In its first year, the retail value of the free items redeemed by veterans exceeded $100,000. Since then, the effort has expanded each year with more vendors and products joining in.

On Veterans Day in 2024, over 206,000 complimentary items were given to veterans across Wisconsin. The program reflects the continued collaboration and shared gratitude between Festival and its vendor partners.
