The Festival Foods Turkey Trot, a Thanksgiving Day tradition for many families and individuals across Wisconsin, is proud to announce its expansion to 12 communities in 2025 with the addition of Hudson, Wisconsin, as the newest race location.

“The Festival Foods Turkey Trot is a signature event for our company. It combines a sense of community and healthy lifestyles, and creates a family tradition to start out the Thanksgiving holiday,” said Mark Skogen, President and CEO of Festival Foods. “We’re extremely pleased to bring this event to the Hudson community.”

Now entering its 18th year, the Festival Foods Turkey Trot invites participants to start their holiday with a focus on fun, family and fitness. The event features a 2-mile walk, a 2-mile fun run, a timed 5-mile run and a 2-mile Dog Jog for those wanting to bring their dog. The event continues to benefit local YMCA programs and the Boys & Girls Clubs in each community.

“The YMCA in Hudson is excited to partner with Festival Foods for the Turkey Trot. From the moment I heard Festival was coming to town and began conversations with their team, it was clear they are a community-focused organization. That aligns perfectly with the Y’s mission – we’re all about supporting and strengthening our community for all,” said Chris Kost, executive director of the YMCA in Hudson. “The Turkey Trot is a great opportunity for both of our organizations to come together and create an event that will serve and bring joy to our communities for many years to come.”

With thousands of participants each year, the Festival Foods Turkey Trot has grown into one of Wisconsin’s largest holiday events. Focused on promoting healthy living and fun for all ages and abilities, the event continues to grow. The addition of Hudson highlights the strong community support and furthers the Turkey Trot’s mission to give back and raise awareness for its charity partners.

Registration is open for all 12 Turkey Trot locations as well as the Home Edition. For more information or to register, visit www.FestivalFoodsTurkeyTrot.com.
