  • Ingredients
    • 8 oz. fresh button mushrooms
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • ¾ lb. lean ground beef
    • ½ tsp. dried thyme
    • ½ tsp. dried oregano
    • ½ tsp. ground mustard
    • ¼ tsp. dried minced garlic
    • ¼ tsp. dried minced onion
    • Salt, to taste
    • Black pepper, to taste
    • 1 cup tomato sauce
    • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    • 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns

    1. Place the mushrooms and onion in a food processor fitted with a metal blade. Pulse until finely chopped. 1. Heat a large nonstick skillet set over medium heat. Add the mushroom mixture, ground beef and seasoning blend. Cook for 10 minutes or until browned and the liquid has evaporated. 1. Stir in the tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes or until thickened. Serve on hamburger buns.
