Grilled Peri Peri Chicken Wings
- 2 Tbsp. cayenne pepper (or less for milder wings)
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled
- 4 lemons, juiced
- 2 tsp. smoked paprika
- 2 tsp. ground ginger
- 2 tsp. granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. sea salt
- 24 chicken wings
- Olive oil
- 6 Tbsp. butter
Directions1. Combine cayenne powder, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, ginger, sugar and salt in a food processor. Pulse until well combined. Taste and adjust seasonings as necessary. 1. Place chicken wings in a large freezer bag. Pour the marinade over, tossing thoroughly to coat. Marinate for at least one hour or up to overnight. 1. Preheat grill to medium heat and brush and oil the grill grate. Arrange chicken wings skin side down and grill them until crisp and golden brown, about 8-12 minutes per side. 1. While chicken is cooking combine butter and marinade in a saucepan, and melt them together. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer. Each time you flip your wings, give them a brush with the buttery marinade sauce. Garnish with fresh lemon wedges and serve.
