FRESH FOODS & SPRING FAVORITES!

FIRE UP THE GRILL ... LET’S GET COOKIN’!
Photo of burgers on a grill

In Wisconsin, we can grill pretty much anything at any time. But now that the weather is improving, you’re sure to smell grills all over the neighborhood. Steaks, burgers and brats are the most common items to throw on the coals, but don’t leave out the veggies, crispy breads and savory desserts when it comes to firing up the grill.

GEAR UP FOR GRILLING

AH, SPRINGTIME.

With warmer weather comes the crispy juiciness of super fresh ingredients. It may be a little too early for the farmer’s market, but don’t forget that we have super fresh fish, expertly seasoned meats, sweets and desserts made from scratch and the latest Days Fresher Produce.

GO GREEN!

With Earth Day coming up, it’s time to go green for April! There are many different ways to give back to the environment — from planting a tree or recycling to learning more about the world around us or shopping for locally grown produce.

And while Earth Day is only one day, Festival Foods lives it every day. We work to be environmentally friendly in a variety of ways, including:

  • Providing LED lights in all refrigerated display cases, which means 70 percent less electricity.
  • Using solar powered garbage compactors.
  • Grabbing a reusable bag. We will give you a 5 cent credit for each bag you bring in (this includes plastic bags, paper bags, cloth, etc.)!
  • Using Wisconsin-made light tubes, which provide so-called “daylighting” for many of our stores. These devices essentially take our stores “off the grid” during daylight hours as overhead lights dim when they detect sunlight.
  • We love giving back! Our Bakery and Produce departments regularly donate to local food pantries, helping out our community and working to minimize food waste.
  • Recycling your plastic bags. In many of our stores, store, located in the cart lobby, you can find a plastic bag recycling bin that’s made out of recycled plastic bags!
