Toasted head sources the fruit for our Merlot from vineyards in Mendocino and Lake Counties with soil that has enough clay in it to retain moisture and keep the earth a bit cooler. The reward, is a blend of aromas of cinnamon, vanilla, and chocolate-dipped cherries give way to flavors of bing cherries, sweet anise, vanilla, and roasted coffee. The color is bright-to-dark ruby red.
