It’s a well-known fact that Wisconsin is considered to be “America’s Dairyland,” but it’s an equally well-known fact that not all of us can tolerate drinking milk. As dietitians, our team gets lots of questions about almond milk, and how it stacks up against regular cow’s milk. The answer? It’s a pretty great option! While regular milk does have more protein, unsweetened plain almond milk, like Wild Harvest Unsweetened Original Almondmilk, has just as much vitamin A, and even more calcium and iron than regular cow’s milk! We picked the unsweetened almond milk variety because it has less than 1 gram of sugar per serving, which is much less than sweetened varieties. Enjoy this milk on its own, in cereals, cream soups, smoothies or coconut cashew pudding!
