We’ve all heard the message to go lean with protein, and for an excellent reason! Lean protein foods are lower in saturated fats, while still packed with protein, B vitamins, iron, magnesium, zinc and heart healthy fats. The dilema is, how do we incorporate lean protein into our favorite meals without sacrificing taste? Festival’s Turkey Beef Blend, ground fresh daily in our Meat Departments, is one of my absolute favorite lean proteins! It really is the best of both worlds: lower in fat, yet full of great flavor that everyone in your family will love. Are you wondering how this is possible? I’ve surprised several of my friends and family members into thinking that it was 100% ground beef in their chili, tacos, meatballs, sloppy joes, spaghetti and lasagna, when it was actually this spectacular Turkey Beef Blend! None of them noticed! Try substituting for the typical 85/15 ground beef in recipes like Hearty Meat & Bean Chili, Lasagna Stuffed Zucchini, Mamas Meatloaf and Sneaky Sloppy Joes.

Kid friendly and picky eater friendly, how will you try Festival’s Turkey Beef Blend? Did anyone even notice a difference? Please leave a comment below, and let me know! :)
