In the spirit of our Cinco de Mayo Eat Well Ad this week, I’m highlighting one of my favorite tortilla chips: Tostitos® Multigrain SCOOPS!® Tortilla Chips. What sets these chips apart from the rest? First off, the bowl-like shape (or the “scoop”) makes it perfect for piling on healthy dips, like Dannon® Oikos® Greek Yogurt Dips, Three-Layer Mexican Dip and Classic Guacamole, as well as veggie or fruit loaded salsas, like Sweet & Spicy Kiwi Salsa, Peachy Black Bean Salsa and Summer Melon Salsa. These chips are also heartier than typical tortilla chips, which makes them even better for scooping. Next, Tostitos® Multigrain SCOOPS!® are made with a few simple ingredients: corn, heart healthy oils and salt. These chips are even low in sodium, but still taste salty. The salt is on the surface, giving the tongue a burst of flavor verses being baked in, which is common among several other chips, crackers and cereals. Interesting, isn’t it?
