The Dietitian’s Top Pick: Cher-Make Chicken Brats + GIVEAWAY!
|
Cher-Make Chicken Brats #festfoods The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. Friends, family, food, warm air and sunshine… It doesn’t get much better than that! There’s something about the smell of juicy burgers and brats on the grill, creamy potato salad, refreshing pasta salads, fresh fruit, corn on the cob and desserts galore that seems to bring everyone together in good spirits. This year, I’m excited to put a fresh twist on our classic American fare menu with this week’s pick, Cher-Make Chicken Brats. With only 100 calories and 4 grams of fat (1 gram saturated fat) per brat, Cher-Make Chicken Brats are a great way to trade up your traditional brat without sacrificing flavor! These Chicken Brats have a minimal ingredient list with chicken being the only meat used. They are also fully cooked, so all you have to do is cook on the grill for 7-10 minutes until golden brown. Cher-Make Chicken Brats are even gluten free, making them a perfect brat for gluten free guests coming to your 4th of July get together! (Click here for more gluten free food ideas!) I love to pair Cher-Make Chicken Brats with some of our Eat Well deli salads, like Eat Well Potato Salad and Eat Well Summer Cabbage Salad. Don’t have time to make a dessert? Pick-up a box of delicious Eat Well Oatmeal Chocolate Chip or Apple Cinnamon Cookies found in our bakery department. We’ve got you covered for your backyard barbecue this year! Do you have a favorite 4th of July food or recipe? I’d love to hear from you!
