Sweet Caramel Cinnamon Baked Bananas


These delicious Sweet Caramel Cinnamon Baked Bananas have just the perfect amount of sweetness. We love them plain or on top of oatmeal, yogurt, pancakes or even ice cream! Yes, even dietitians eat ice cream - it’s all about balance!



Sweet Caramel Cinnamon Baked Bananas

Adapted from Paleo Running Momma



  • 4 unripe bananas (or 3-4 ripe plantains)

  • 2 Tbsp. coconut oil

  • 2 Tbsp. unrefined coconut sugar

  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp. sea salt



  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

  2. Peel bananas and cut into ¼-inch thick rounds. Place cut bananas into a large bowl and drizzle with melted coconut oil. Sprinkle with coconut sugar, ground cinnamon and sea salt and gently stir to combine.

  3. Spread bananas in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Flip the bananas over and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

  4. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
