Red, White and Blue Sangria

Sip on sangria this season! These fruit-filled adult beverages feature red or white wine, 100% fruit juice and all kinds of colorful fruit. Try the more traditional Red Sangria or opt for a glass of the patriotic Red, White and Blue Sangria. Both are delicious and totally sip-worthy!

 

Traditional Sangria

 

Traditional Red Sangria

Ingredients:

  • 1 small apple, cored, skin on, sliced
  • 1 small orange, rind on, large seeds removed, sliced
  • 1 bottle dry red Spanish wine, like Tempranillo or Rioja
  • ⅓ cup brandy
  • ¼ cup triple sec
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ½ cup pomegranate juice

 

Directions:

  1. Place apple slices, orange slices, red wine, brandy, triple sec, orange juice and pomegranate juice into a large pitcher. Stir to mix.
  2. Refrigerate for 24 hours before serving.

 

Yield: 6 servings

Red, White & Blue Sangria

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle dry white wine, like Vinho Verde, Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc
  • ⅓ cup brandy
  • 1 cup white grape juice
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 1 lb. strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 cups ice
  • 1 (12 oz.) can unflavored sparkling water

 

Directions:

  1. Add white wine, white grape juice, blueberries and strawberries into a large pitcher. Stir to mix. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  2. When ready to serve, stir in ice and sparkling water. Serve.

 

Yield: 6 servings
