Green Bay North

We're green and growing in Green Bay!

Festival Foods is opening a new store in Green Bay, at 2430 University Ave., on Friday, Dec. 2. Really excited to see the inside of the store and you’re not interested in waiting until the official opening? You’re in luck! We’ll be giving you a sneak peek on Tuesday via Instagram and at 4 p.m. CST Thursday evening during a live Facebook broadcast.  Or you can watch this video:

The store is part of a new development near the intersection of Highway 57 and University Avenue. This will be our 25th location in Wisconsin and our fifth in the Green Bay area.

It will operate 24 hours a day and employ more than 225 associates. In addition to a grocery store, the development includes a gas station and retail outlet not owned by Festival Foods.

"We are excited to open a new location on the north side of Green Bay, and we look forward to welcoming many new guests who live and work in this part of the city," said Mark Skogen, President and CEO of Festival Foods.

Similar to Festival Foods' other recently opened locations in Menasha and Somers, the Green Bay store will feature a dining deck above the Deli and a free community conference room.

Guests also will find a built-in Brat Barn and the Tot Spot, a free, supervised play area for children ages 18 months to 7 years.

This store will be among the most energy efficient of all Festival Foods locations and will use Solstice® N40, one of the latest reduced-global-warming refrigerants, to cool its many refrigerated cases. LED lighting throughout the store and more natural light than other Festival Foods locations will bring additional energy savings.

Guests who are familiar with Festival Foods will recognize the store's extensive selection of groceries, meats, seafood, produce and natural and organic foods as well as fresh sushi, salad and hot food bars, large deli and catering services.

According to Skogen, the new store exemplifies Festival Foods’ continuing commitment to selection, pricing and service excellence.

“In today’s marketplace, consumers have high expectations for the value they receive for their money as well as how they are treated,” he said. “We are eager to open this store and offer another option for our Green Bay guests who want value-driven pricing, a wide selection that includes healthy choices, and a great shopping experience.”
