Menasha Festival Foods to host weekly veterans program

We’re excited to bring our American Heroes Café, a weekly gathering for area veterans, to our Menasha store beginning Friday, Nov. 11, which is also Veterans Day.

From 8 a.m. to noon each Friday, the community room in the store’s mezzanine level, or Dining Deck, will provide complimentary coffee and donuts as part of the American Heroes Café offering. This is Festival Foods’ way of saying thank you to those who have served our country. Veterans are invited to come each week to meet fellow veterans, share stories and enjoy freshly baked treats and coffee. Our Menasha store is located 1355 Oneida Street.

Our company believes in giving back to communities across Wisconsin and we are committed to building relationships with guests and area organizations that help so many. We are so happy to sponsor programs, host community events and provide charitable giving to programs across the state.

“Inviting veterans to join us every Friday is one way that we can say thank you to those who sacrificed so much for each of us,” said Cory Krisher, Assistant Store Director of Festival Foods in Janesville, where we have hosted a Heroes Café since March.

The American Heroes Café was first established at the Festival Foods location in Kenosha. The program began with having three or four veterans participate each week, and has grown to having nearly 125 veterans attend each week over time.

Since the second cafe started in Janesville in March, 50-60 veterans are spending time with us there each week. A group in Janesville recently hosted a flag folding ceremony.
