Avocado Margaritas

The classic margarita is great, but it's also okay to mix things up! Try one of these three new flavors instead, including Mango Kombucha Margarita! 

Even kombucha skeptics will love the Mango Kombucha Margarita. If you're in the mood for something gorgeous and tasty, give the Blood Orange Margarita a try.  Looking for something way out in left field? Blend up an Avocado Margarita - yup, you read that right. Avocado ... in your margarita.

Mango Kombucha Margaritas

Mango Kombucha Margaritas

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp. pink Himalayan salt or sea salt
  • 3 oz. tequila
  • 4 oz. mango kombucha
  • 1 oz. triple sec
  • ¾ oz. lime fresh lime juice
  • 2 lime wedges

Directions: 

  1. Place salt on a plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip into the salt. Turn glass to make sure rim is evenly coated. Add ice cubes to glass and set aside. 
  2. Pour tequila, kombucha, triple sec and lime juice into a shaker with ice cubes and shake well. 
  3. Strain into the prepared glasses with ice. Garnish rims with lime wedge and serve.

Blood Orange Margaritas

Blood Orange Margaritas

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp. sea salt
  • 2 lime wedges
  • 3 oz. tequila
  • 4 oz. fresh blood orange juice (about 2 large blood oranges)
  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp. agave nectar
  • 2 blood orange slices for garnish

Directions:

  1. Place salt on a plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip into the salt. Turn glass to make sure rim is evenly coated. Add ice cubes to glass and set aside. 
  2. Pour tequila, blood orange juice, lime juice and agave nectar into a shaker with ice cubes and shake well. 
  3. Strain into the prepared glasses. Garnish rims with blood orange slice and serve.

Avocado Margaritas

Avocado Margaritas

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ Tbsp. sea salt
  • ½ tsp. chili powder
  • 4 lime wedges
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 ½ cups crushed ice
  • 3 oz. fresh lime juice 
  • 2 tsp. agave nectar
  • 3 oz. tequila
  • 2 oz. triple sec
  • 3 sprigs cilantro

Directions:

  1. On a plate, mix together salt and chili powder. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip into salt mixture. Turn glass to make sure rim is evenly coated. 
  2. In a blender, combine avocado, ice, lime juice, agave nectar, tequila, triple sec and cilantro. Blend until smooth. 
  3. Pour the margarita into the prepared glasses. Garnish rims with lime wedge and serve.
