I was talking to one of our cashiers about our upcoming Boofest event and she told me they have pictures of her at Boofest when she was a baby!! I didn’t think that was possible but thinking back I guess we did have our first one in 1997. There were just 3 Festival stores then (Onalaska, Marshfield, and Green Bay West) and we tested the idea of Trick or Treating at the Green Bay West store. It was a huge success and we are excited to once again have Boofest in all 18 of our locations on October 26. For those who aren’t familiar; Boofest is a special event for kids 8 and under although parents, grandparents, and other shoppers all have fun! We will have several Boo Stops around the store where the little goblins can pick up snacks, get their picture taken, decorate a cookie, and lots more surprises. This is a great opportunity for kids to wear their costume and have fun collecting treats and trinkets in a safe environment while you shop. Our Festival associates are also encouraged to join the fun by dressing up in costume. Many departments plan their theme all year and get really creative. Don’t be surprised if a flamingo waits on you in the deli or a cowgirl checks out your groceries while a clown is bagging them! Details: Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10am -2pm. Kids 8 and under are encouraged to come in costume While we offer a variety of snacks, if your child has any food allergies they might not be able to collect them all. Some treats do contain peanuts, dairy, wheat, etc. Pictures will be posted on Facebook so you can tag and share. Please let our photographer know if you do not want us to take a picture. You are welcome to take pictures with your own camera.
