We’re thrilled to tell you that Festival Foods is investigating the possibility of constructing a new store on Green Bay’s northeast side.
The potential store, which would be our 23rd location in Wisconsin and fifth in the Greater Green Bay area, would be located near the intersection of Highway 57 and University Avenue. A formal announcement of a new Festival Foods store would follow project approvals by local municipalities.
“The prospect of serving our guests in this area of Green Bay is exciting, and we are hopeful the project will be approved,” said Mark Skogen, President and CEO of Festival Foods.
If approved, construction would begin next spring. In addition to a grocery store, the development would include a gas station and retail outlet not owned by Festival Foods.
As in all Festival Foods locations, the new Green Bay store would offer a complete selection of groceries, meats and produce. In addition, guests would find a variety of natural and organic foods, fresh sushi, a healthy-choices salad and hot food bar, an extensive deli and catering services.
Also planned are a seating area above the deli, a community conference room, an attached Brat Barn and a Tot Spot, which is Festival Foods’ supervised in-store child care service. The store would operate 24 hours a day and employ an estimated 250 associates.
More details about the project will be announced as they become available.
