Packed with fun, green foods like frozen avocado, spinach, matcha green tea powder and kiwi, this Green Matcha Smoothie Bowl is a perfect way to start St. Patrick's Day, or really any day of the year! 

Omit the matcha tea powder to make this smoothie bowl more kid-friendly and caffeine free.

Smoothie:

  • 1 medium banana, sliced and frozen
  • ¼ avocado, frozen
  • cup frozen pineapple
  • 1 cup spinach
  • ½ to ¾ cup milk of choice
  • ½ to 1 tsp. matcha green tea powder**

 

Optional Toppings

  • Sliced kiwi (or other fruit)
  • Toasted coconut 
  • Pepitas (or pumpkin seeds)
  • Chia seeds

 

Directions:

  1. Place all smoothie ingredients into a blender and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Pour smoothie into bowl and top with optional toppings. Serve cold. 

 

Yield: 1 serving
