Fireworks in Janesville!

We’re thrilled to announce that our company will partner with the Rock Aqua Jays by sponsoring the Fourth of July fireworks show at the Independence Day on the Rock in Janesville.

Festival Foods now sponsors 15 fireworks shows throughout Wisconsin including those in Appleton, Darboy, Eau Claire, Fond du Lac, Fort Atkinson, Green Bay, Kenosha, Madison, Manitowoc, Marshfield, Neenah, Onalaska, Oshkosh, and Sheboygan.

“We have a long history of supporting Fourth of July celebrations in Wisconsin and feel these fireworks shows help bring communities together.” says Mark Skogen, President and CEO of Festival Foods. “We are excited to sponsor the festivities in Janesville for years to come.”

Festival Foods began by sponsoring one fireworks show in 1991. At that time, the Skogen family owned one Festival Foods location in Onalaska. Today, the family owns and operates 20 Festival Foods locations and sponsors 15 fireworks shows throughout Wisconsin.

“We enjoy being part of events that focus on family and fun, especially those that are free!” Skogen said. Festival Foods is currently undergoing construction on their 22nd store in Janesville, and plans to open that store in the fall of 2015.

Activities will take place throughout the day on the Fourth of July and will feature an “anything that floats competition,” live music, and water ski shows and races before the fireworks kick off. ‘

City officials and neighborhood leaders are excited about the event.

“The City of Janesville truly appreciates the addition of Festival Foods to our business community and their generosity as they sponsor this year’s fireworks during Independence Day on the Rock,” says Mark Freitag, Janesville City Manager.

Rock Aqua Jays President Tim Cullen added: “We are so excited that Festival Foods has chosen to be a part of the event! Having them involved with this community event is a wonderful way to welcome them to the Janesville area.”
