|
women in grocery We're thrilled to tell you that Festival Foods' own Stephanie Schultz is among the Top Women in Grocery, according to Progressive Grocer. Stephanie is responsible for the direction, budget and functionality of all dietitian, communications, branding and associate wellness programming for Festival Foods. steph pic Two of her most notable achievements as a supermarket dietitian were leading the implementation of the NuVal® Nutritional Scoring System and developing the Eat Well at Festival Foods ad program. She drives her dietitian team to find innovative ways to educate guests and associates about good food and health for a lifetime. She also leads Festival’s social media team and helps them engage a growing audience that has amassed more than 116,000 Facebook fans, 8,800 followers on Twitter and 2,400 Instagram followers. These channels help Festival Foods connect directly with our guests on a variety of topics including everything from special offers to nutrition education to easy-to-make meal suggestions. Stephanie provides insight and guidance for Festival Foods’ website called ‘The Insider’ that gives a variety of information to Festival’s guests on everything from seasonal offerings in the Produce Department to quick and delicious recipes to events and activities in our stores. insider photo Like countless Festival Foods' associates, Stephanie is a dedicated servant leader and currently serves as president of the Board of Directors for Cerebral Palsy Inc., which serves more than 1,600 individuals in northeast Wisconsin. Stephanie is the youngest board leader in Cerebral Palsy Inc.’s history, and she also serves on a current capital campaign committee, with a goal of fundraising $7.5 million, to expand its reach and services. Under her direction, the recent CP Telethon – the organization’s 62nd Annual – raised more than $1 million in March 2016. Earlier this year, Stephanie was one of two dietitians featured in the “Inspire – Be a Hero” section of the March/April 2016 issue of Food and Nutrition magazine. The magazine is published by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the world's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals. She holds the distinguished honor of being named the inaugural recipient of the Retail Dietitians Business Alliance’s Retail Dietitian of the Year in 2014. She also received the Green Bay Chamber of Commerce’s “Future 15” Award in 2013 and was named one of YOU Magazine's “20 People You Should Know” in 2011 for her achievements. All these achievements are just incredible, but those of us who work with Stephanie at Festival Foods and those guests at our stores who need her help just know her as a reliable, down-to-earth, fun, funny and helpful individual. She is always willing to help out, give back and lead others through new challenges. Please help us say CONGRATULATIONS! to Stephanie.
