Hi neighbors! We're so happy to tell you that we're up and running at the former Pierce's Supermarkets in Baraboo and Portage. These Festival Foods stores join our family of 26 other locations throughout Wisconsin, where we were born 70 years ago.
Mark Skogen, President and CEO of Festival Foods, said in May that our company is eager to be part of these great communities. The Portage and Baraboo areas represent key opportunities to better serve our company's growing customer base throughout Wisconsin, he said.
“We are honored to join these historic and still thriving Wisconsin communities.”
We're also excited to add great associates to these locations! In Portage, we're looking to hire more than 100 associates during open interviews from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, June 29-30. Interviews will be held at the Best Western Portage, 2701 County Road CX. Sign up online here for an interview time.
In Baraboo, we hope to hire more than 100 associates during open interviews from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, June 27-28. Interviews will be held at the Clarion Baraboo, 626 W. Pine Street. Sign up online here for an interview time.
Full- and part-time positions are available in a variety of departments. Applicants will meet one-on-one with hiring managers and are encouraged to sign up online for an interview time. Walk-ins are also welcome. Applicants will check in with a Festival Foods recruiter after entering the hotel lobby.
Festival Foods Recruiting Director Jesse DeMoulin said the company is really excited about these new stores and our new colleagues.
"We were thrilled that many associates who worked for the former Pierce Supermarket chose to join the Festival team after we transitioned on June 20, and we are still looking to hire even more people who love providing top-notch guest service,” DeMoulin said.
William and Anna Pierce, great-grandparents of brother-sister business partners Dave and Angie, opened the first Pierce's Supermarket in 1924 on Walnut Street in Baraboo.
