Festival Foods brings Veterans program to Janesville

front_2393 (2)We’re excited to bring our American Heroes Café, a weekly gathering for area veterans, to our Janesville store beginning Friday, April 1. From 8 a.m. to noon each Friday, the community room in the store’s upper mezzanine will provide complimentary coffee and donuts as part of its American Heroes Café offering. This is Festival Foods’ way of saying thank you to those who have served our country. Veterans are invited to come each week to meet fellow veterans, share stories and enjoy freshly baked treats and coffee. IMG_0894 Our company believes in giving back to communities across Wisconsin and we are committed to building relationships with guests and area organizations that help so many. Our company, which has more 5,500 associates at 21 stores, sponsors programs, hosts community events and provides charitable giving. “Inviting veterans to join us every Friday is one way that we can say thank you to those who sacrificed so much for each of us,” said Cory Krisher, Assistant Store Director of Festival Foods in Janesville. “We hope that the American Heroes Café can become an ongoing meeting place for veterans to relax and enjoy their morning.” The American Heroes Café was first established at the Festival Foods location in Kenosha. The program began with having three or four veterans participate each week, and has grown to having nearly 125 veterans attend each week over time. The Janesville café would be the second program of its kind throughout the company. IMG_0893
