I have a confession to make. I’m a beer girl. Watch this video to hear Lauren and Amy talk about some great gluten free beers as well as other quality summertime suds. Anyone who knows me can attest to the fact that beer is always my beverage of choice. And I mean always. Often times, people will ask me … “Don’t you get sick of just drinking beer?” My answer: absolutely not! At Festival, our Wine & Spirits department carries 100’s of craft beers, meaning it’s just about impossible to get bored of drinking beer. In honor of Craft Beer Week, I’m sharing a few of this beer girl’s favorites for the summer season. Pick up a 6-pack or mix and match with Festival’s create your own 6-pack (can’t ever go wrong with that – everyone wins!). Goose Island Summer Ale – I just tried this summer ale last weekend and give it two thumbs up for a refreshing, summertime beer!
Point Apricadabra – Wheat style ale with a touch of fresh apricot juice? Oh my yum! Door County Brewing Company Polka King Porter – I wouldn’t consider myself a dark beer lover, until I tried this rich chocolate porter. It’s game-changing.
Blue Moon – Whether you choose the classic Belgain White, or go for the Brewmaster’s Summer Seasonal Sampler, grab an orange slice and soak up the sun. Shock Top Raspberry Wheat – Brewed with fresh, wild raspberries, nothing beats the summertime heat than this crisp, refreshing wheat ale. Stone Arch Vanilla Stout – Who says beer can’t also be dessert? Ready for the best news of all? Most of these varieties are on sale this week at your local Festival Foods (including a $7.99 sale on Festival’s Own Mix and Match 6-pack) and you can sample beers at the store all week long. Cheers to that! Pair your craft beer of choice with one of these delicious eats from Festival’s dietitians!
