Crispy Avocado Fries

Avocado lover? Then these Crispy Avocado Fries are for you! Deliciously crunchy on the outside and buttery soft on the inside, these fries pair perfectly with a creamy sriracha aioli or your favorite dipping sauce. 

Crispy Avocado Fries

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 Tbsp. ground flax
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 avocados, peeled and cut into 16 slices

Dipping Sauce:

  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. sriracha

Air Fryer Directions: 

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Lightly spray the fryer basket with oil.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine flour, ground flax, chili powder and garlic powder. 
  3. In a separate shallow dish, whisk 1 egg. 
  4. Place panko breadcrumbs in a separate shallow dish. 
  5. Dip avocado slices in flour and gently shake off excess. Dip into egg and then press into breadcrumbs. 
  6. Place avocado slices in basket and cook until avocados are crispy and golden brown, 7-8 minutes. 
  7. While fries are cooking, mix mayonnaise and sriracha together in a small bowl; serve with warm avocado fries.

Oven Directions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a sheet pan and set aside.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine flour, ground flax, chili powder and garlic powder. 
  3. In a separate shallow dish, whisk 1 egg. 
  4. Place panko breadcrumbs in a separate shallow dish. 
  5. Dip avocado slices in flour and gently shake off excess. Dip into egg and then press into breadcrumbs. 
  6. Place avocado slices on prepared sheet pan and bake until avocados are crispy and golden brown, about 15 minutes. Flip avocado fries halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
  7. While fries are cooking, mix mayonnaise and sriracha together in a small bowl; serve with warm avocado fries.
