With only five ingredients, our Baked Pears with Maple & Cinnamon recipe is an easy, whole foods-based dessert that is not only a better-for-you sweet treat, but it will also make your house smell amazing!
Baked Pears with Maple & Cinnamon
4 Tbsp. walnuts
2 tsp. maple syrup
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup vanilla frozen yogurt (or vanilla non-dairy frozen dessert for dairy free or vegan)
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Cut pears in half, lengthwise. Placing flesh-side down, carefully make a horizontal slice of the skin, so that when the pear half is flipped over it will lay flat.
- Flip the pear halves over, so the flesh side is up. Using a spoon, gently scoop out the seeds to form little bowls. Fill each pear bowl with 1 Tbsp. walnuts and ½ tsp. maple syrup. Sprinkle each pear half with ½ tsp. cinnamon.
- Place pear halves onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25 minutes, then remove from oven and allow to cool. Top each half with ¼ cup of frozen yogurt and enjoy!
