On Saturday, Oct. 24, I attended the 11th Annual Kids Expo at the Fond du Lac County Fair Grounds along with April from our Fond du Lac store. Throughout the event, children (and some parents, too) were dressed in costumes and strolled from booth to booth gathering goodies, learning information, dancing with Mr. Billy and taking part in a variety of activities offered by area businesses. The activity at our Festival Tot Spot booth was a big hit with all the little ghosts and goblins. Actually, I don’t recall any ghosts and goblins, but I did see a lot of princesses, superheroes, devils and witches. Our little guests had the opportunity to create either a necklace or a bracelet using nothing but the very best products from our Festival stores. The children crafted their colorful jewelry by hand, selecting each piece of pasta and cereal to fit their design specifications. April and I had a lot of fun watching and helping the little ones, but the defining moment was when they put their bracelet or necklace on and proceeded to the next booth. The chairs at our booth were full from 9 a.m. to noon with children waiting at times for an open seat. It was a great experience. April and I had as much fun as the kiddos did. If you and your children did not have a chance to attend this event, we offer a variety of craft activities and much more for our little guests to do during their visit to our Tot Spot children’s area. Stop by and see us today.
